"The process begins by talking to us, but not necessarily about how the market is doing "

Working with you is about more than finances.  It is about us understanding your relationship to finances, knowing what you would like to accomplish with your affluence and helping you to manage all the complex issues raised by substantial wealth.  Here is how we feel that can happen.

The process begins by talking to us, but not necessarily about how the market is doing or whether to reallocate your assets or the latest stock opportunity. This conversation will go beyond investments and admittedly, it might not be comfortable. We will ask about your fondest aspirations for yourself and your family, your feelings about where you are and where you hope to be and, of course, your fears, and the things that might prevent you from getting what you want.

We work closely with you in such disciplines as lending, risk management-and yes, even investments-to craft a comprehensive wealth management plan for your consideration. The plan will encompass every aspect of your finances-from whether you'll be able to retire as planned to what if your daughter gets accepted at medical school to ways you can ensure that your business keeps running even if you’re not there to run it. And best of all, your plan contains specific strategies developed in concert with each other so that each strategy takes into account its effect on the others.

Specifically, you can count on us to work closely with you in the following manner:

Step 1: Setting Your Financial Objectives

We personally meet with you and help you articulate what you want your wealth to accomplish, getting to know your current and future liabilities, income sources and cash-flow needs. We then discuss your circumstances and overall strategy, tolerance for risk, tax concerns, liquidity needs and time horizon. Finally, we determine where gaps exist between you and your goals and find the smart strategies that might meet those needs.

Step 2: Creating Your Plan

Once we have had the chance to discuss your objectives, we develop a financial plan that contains specific recommendations designed to meet those goals. Our recommendations may touch upon issues such as retirement planning, business continuation, tax minimization and wealth transfer. You will receive a customized asset-allocation plan that helps to identify appropriate diversification strategies.

Step 3: Implementing Your Plan

After presenting you with a detailed strategy for your portfolio, we work closely with you to bring the elements to life. If appropriate for you, we will access Raymond James's considerable resources to select investment-management firms that align closely with your set of financial objectives. If you prefer individual securities, we can identify specific investments that will be suitable. Whatever approach you select, we will be there to encourage maintaining the discipline needed to help you reach your goals.

Step 4: Monitoring Your Performance

Ongoing communication is essential. We keep on top of your changing financial needs by monitoring your portfolio at your request to analyze whether your assets are positioned to adjust to your circumstances as well as fluctuating market conditions.
